Description
This original Republic of Texas document certified that the named individual was entitled to buy one League and one Labor of Texas land. The price varied from a total of $1.20 to $3.50, depending on the quality of the surveyed tract.
To encourage settlers to move to Texas and to earn premiums of additional land for themselves, the early Texas empresarios used the Mexican system of land allocation established in 1823. A Labor of land consisted of 177 acres and was to be farmed while a league was 4,428 acres and was for raising cattle. The settler who wished to both farm and ranch could claim both. There were no taxes for the first six years and for the second period of six years the land was to be taxed at only half of the published rate. After three years residence if the settler was married and self supporting he and his family became naturalized citizens.

Generally, the shipping cost of a full scale flag runs between $45–$75. Most other framed items, including collector size flags and map replicas can be shipped for about $35.
Within Texas…
As often as possible within Texas we try to deliver your order on our truck. This is especially true if you are getting several items at once.
We usually visit Houston, Dallas and San Antonio every couple of weeks, and special deliveries can be arranged as needed. It is our pleasure to try and personally deliver within Texas when possible.
