Description

This antique replica of a very rare State of Texas $1000 coupon bond issued in 1867 is a marvelous bit of Texas history. It is very ornate with striking vignettes of the goddesses of Liberty and Justice flanked by the Texas and American flags.  Every six months the owner of this bond would clip off one of the coupons and present it to a bank teller and receive $25 in gold coins.
