A print of the Complete Republic of Texas Currency Collection
Texas Independence Day Special $195 art print framed in darkwood
The Republic of Texas circulated its own richly engraved currency for nine years, until becoming the 28th State in 1845. This framed print includes all nine denominations, as well as the ornate reverse, which gave the notes their nickname of "red backs." Printed on unbelievably fine paper, originals of these notes are quite scarce today, and a collection of originals that would match this print is worth well over $5,000.
